This Is MAX!
When you see a child run after a soccer ball and kick to his heart’s content, you think nothing of it. That happens every day, in every city. When you see him later take off his shin guard, revealing he did it all with a prosthetic leg, thats incredible. Max is incredible.
In cooperation with Chosen and Dearly Loved, I spent only an afternoon with Max and his family. He
inspired me as an artist and inspired me as human to not let little things like the lack of an appendage let
that hold you back running your heart out.
I was honored for this film to be selected by Sony as a finalist for their intentional short documentary
competition. I gotta say, its all because of Max, because you can’t write stories like these. The best stories are often not written but rather discovered.
